Why EXIMO

Oil Goes Deeper Than the Surface

Concrete is porous. Oil can settle below the visible surface, where surface-only cleaning may not reach it. EXIMO uses bioremediation to break down oil-based stains over time.

Frequently asked questions

Before You Apply

Helpful answers about application, coverage and ongoing use.

How often should EXIMO be applied?

Application frequency varies by site, traffic and oil accumulation. Apply EXIMO regularly to continue treating existing stains and new oil. Tough stains should be treated as needed; an average fuel location may apply it once a week.

How much EXIMO should be applied per application?

Coverage varies with the concrete's surface texture, and rougher surfaces may require more product. On average, 1/4 cup covers up to 55 square feet. Start with less product and add more only as needed.

What preparations are needed before applying EXIMO?

Clear away debris and dispose of trash. Concrete should be dry before application. Follow all company procedures, product-label directions and safety guidance.

Do I have to block off the entire facility when applying EXIMO?

No. Section off only the work area needed to protect personnel. After application, the area is ready for use, so one section can be treated while other areas remain open.

How do I know when I am finished applying EXIMO?

Application is complete when the product is evenly distributed and no visible excess remains. If product remains, continue distributing it until it is fully dispersed.

The application is creating a lot of dust. Am I doing something wrong?

Dust can be a sign that too much EXIMO was applied. Use the minimum amount needed for the treatment area. Do not apply EXIMO during extreme winds or gusty conditions.

How is EXIMO better than pressure washing my location?

EXIMO works below the visible surface within porous concrete and does not require pressure-washing equipment or rinsing. Application can be completed one section at a time without closing the entire operation.

Is it true that EXIMO should be applied to new locations before opening?

Yes. Applying EXIMO before opening allows it to begin working within the pores of the concrete and start treating oil as it appears.

Is EXIMO just cosmetic or does it really clean the concrete?

EXIMO works below the surface to break down oil within porous concrete. Cleaning begins after application and can continue for up to 30 days. Under some conditions, the oil stain may temporarily turn white while the process is active.
